​​Owner and Operator
Jon is a graduate from the Construction Engineer Supervisor program at Fanshawe College and has earned his General Carpentry License. He grew up on a farm just outside of Tavistock on route to New Hamburg, and is happy to be servicing the area he and his family have always lived in. Jon worked for another contracting company prior to starting out on his own in 2008. As the owner, Jon personally has a hand in every project worked on. He oversees the entire process from start to finish. He begins each project with a thorough consultation, before creating a detailed estimate. Upon approval his goal is to see the project successfully completed; on budget, in a timely manner, and according to the client’s wishes. Since starting the business Jon has been diligently working to provide excellent service to all his clients.

Project Management
and Estimator
A resident of Tavistock, Scott started with Jon Witzel Contracting in 2011, after graduating from Fanshawe College with an advanced diploma in Architectural Technology. He has been a valuable member of the team both in office, and on site. Scott specializes in project coordination, management, architectural drawings, estimating and billing. His determination to work on behalf of clients to meet their design and project needs from start to finish has made him a vital part of Jon Witzel Contracting.

Interior Decorator
A resident of New Hamburg, Sydney joined Jon Witzel Contracting in 2018 upon graduating from Conestoga College with a diploma in Interior Decorating. Sydney works directly with clients in drafting and product selections for all projects from start to finish and enjoys the variety of various projects from Residential & Commercial.

Natalie has worked for Jon Witzel Contracting since 2011. Natalie works on accounts payable, receivable and payroll within the company.
Kristie M
​Office Administrator
 A resident of Kitchener, Kristie joined JWC in 2021 as full time office administrator and bookkeeper. She comes with a vast amount of experience in the construction industry and we look forward to her bringing her extended knowledge into our team environment.    
Andrew W
Project Manager
A resident of Tavistock, Andrew had been an employee of Jon Witzel Contracting since the company was formed in 2008. Andrew graduated from Conestoga College’s Construction Apprenticeship Program in 2013 as a licensed carpenter.  Andrew’s strong work ethic, passion for the profession, and pride in quality workmanship has made him a reliable site supervisor and crucial member of JWC. He specializes in framing and exterior finishes for all residential, commercial and agricultural projects
Jacob ​J
Project Manager
A resident of Tavistock, Jacob joined Jon Witzel Contracting in 2011. Jacob graduated from Conestoga College Architectural Construction Engineer Tech (ACET). With his knowledge in construction Jacob provides great detail in project management on all size projects. He works closely with sub trades and customers to ensure they achieve high quality and keep on schedule from start to finish. Jacob’s determination makes him a vital part of the Jon Witzel Contracting team.  ​
Harley P
Project Assistant
A resident of Elora, Harley joined JWC in 2021 with a co-op position through the Architecture Construction Engineering Technology program at Conestoga College. He will be assisting our Design and Project Managers team with estimating, coordinating and drafting while employed at JWC. We strongly believe in all co-op positions to help future students have valuable experience while studying. 
Tim ​J 
Site Supervisor
A resident of New Hamburg, Tim has over 30 years of construction experience. He joined Jon Witzel Contracting in 2009 and has a vast amount of building and renovating knowledge. Being a site supervisor, Tim is always making sure every job is done right and specializes in Residential & Commercial work. ​
Jay ​M 
Site Supervisor, Carpenter
A resident of New Hamburg, Jay has many years of construction experience and has been working for Jon Witzel Contracting since 2009. He specializes in many kinds of construction and carpentry. Jay has great experience in residential work, custom cabinetry, trim and finishing. He has eye for detail and is focused on completing all his work with diligence and integrity.
Dan M 
Site Supervisor, Carpenter
A resident of Embro, Dan has been employed at Jon Witzel Contracting since summer 2017. Dan previously worked at a family dairy operation before starting and enrolling in the carpentry apprenticeship program. Dan has taken a high interest in the trim and finishing side of the trade and takes pride in his workmanship and attention to detail. ​

A resident of Paris, Thomas has been an employee of Jon Witzel Contracting since 2015. Thomas graduated from the Construction Engineering Management program at Fanshawe College. Thomas grown to work as a foreman and runs a crew independently
Eric ​L
Foreman, Licensed Carpenter 
A resident of Tavistock, Eric has been an employee of Jon Witzel Contracting since 2013. Eric is a graduate from Conestoga College as a licensed carpenter in 2017. Eric has proven to have excellent skills within the trade and contributes vastly in the framing aspects of construction. Eric’s knowledge helps him be a leader on a daily basis while running a crew daily.
Chris Y 
Carpenter
A resident of Petersburg, Chris has been employed at Jon Witzel Contracting since 2016. Chris shows his attention to detail in finishing and has an excellent work ethic. He is committed to learning the construction trade and is working in his 3rd term of the apprenticeship program in becoming a licensed carpenter.

A resident of Stratford, Matt has been an employee of Jon Witzel Contracting since 2017. Matt is a graduate from Conestoga College as a licensed carpenter in 2017. He has advanced skill within the trade and contributes vastly in the framing aspect of our projects.

A resident of Shakespeare, Zac has been an employee of Jon Witzel Contracting since 2010. Zac has continued to work on both new and renovation projects. Zac’s work ethic and dedication to all projects makes him a vital employee at JWC.

A resident of Stratford, Matt has been employed at Jon Witzel Contracting since 2019. Matt joins the team as a professional painter. He completes the majority of the painting required at JWC. Matt brings with him great skill and attention to detail as he contributes to providing high-quality finishes to every project we do.

A resident of Kitchener, Brady joined JWC in 2021. Brady comes with 3 years of construction experience and looks forward to starting his apprenticeship program. His experience with framing and willingness to learn all areas of the trade will be valuable with his apprenticeship program.

A resident of Bright, Emiel joined JWC in 2021 as general labourer. Emiel has a strong interest in the construction trade and wants to pursue the Carpentry Technics program at Conestoga while working with JWC.

A resident of Waterloo, Sarah has worked with JWC since 2011. Sarah graduated from Conestoga College's Interior Design program in 2012 and worked for several years in residential and commercial construction. Along with her passion for design, Sarah's background in photography and communication helps her to provide social media and marketing management while understanding the the in's and out's of the construction industry.
