Basement Reno

"Jon Witzel Contracting recently finished our basement, including the creation of a laundry room, powder room, bar, and family room. At our first meeting, we were impressed that Jon was willing to talk through our ideas, offering a lot of sound advice and suggestions around approach, design, and different options. This same level of professionalism and expertise was evident with all of Jon's employees: they arrived when they said they would, kept everything cleaned up, and didn't hesitate to highlight issues and offer suggestions. We loved having the flexibility to meet with the electrician to talk through lighting options and placement, working with the carpenter to adjust closet placement on the fly, and hearing suggestions about how to best layout the laundry room. They were also incredibly flexible about helping us find the sinks, lighting, and fixtures we wanted, either sourcing them for us or having us purchase them for their installation. Whatever was easiest for us was what they encouraged us to do. We were also very impressed with how well they worked with other contractors supplying the cabinetry and installing the floors. While these interactions weren't always easy, Jon Witzel Contracting professionally talked through options and resolved issues that weren't theirs to resolve, going so far as to take on the reinstallation of the flooring when the contractor wasn't able to fix it. Despite this being our first large renovation experience, Jon Witzel Contracting made it so positive that we wouldn't hesitate to do it again and would definitely reach out to them for any further projects. We continuously get compliments about the basement and love spending family time there."
